Graffiti is an unsightly problem that costs homeowners and businesses money to clean-up. Gang-related graffiti can also make the neighbourhood feel unsafe. The City of Saskatoon has a online reporting tool to report graffiti on city property, but the link above also gives great advice for homeowners on how to prevent & remove graffiti.
Bylaw complaints are essentially safety complaints. Having an old couch or garbage laying in a yard can create a fire hazard, or a health hazard if vermin live in it. Not shovelling snow on the sidewalk can pose a slipping risk to those walking in winter. Use the link above to report a bylaw infraction.
Abandoned/Vacant/Derelict Houses
Boarded up or vacant houses are an eyesore and hazard. Neighbouring communities have had problems with arson of vacant or derelict properties recently and the KGCA will continue to be on top of this issue to prevent similar happening here. Houses that are not maintained, unsecured, or pose a health and safety hazard can be reported to the Saskatoon Fire Service online or by phone: 306-975-2828. Concerns about health hazards (infestations, mould) at a property can also be reported to Saskatoon Fire and Protection Services at 306-975-2520.
