Future of King George School
In March 2020, the Saskatoon School Board announced that with funding from the Ministry of Education it will be replacing King George, Princess Alexandra, and Pleasant Hill Schools with a new school building located at the present Princess Alexandra site.
In Spring 2020, we created a survey to collect and understand positive and negative impacts that the closure of King George School may have on our community. We used the feedback we received to create a report and that report was sent to the City of Saskatoon and the Saskatoon School Board. We will continue to represent our neighbourhood during engagement conversations on this topic.
